CPR AED First Aid training

First and foremost is an essential requirement for all Washington State Employers.  If your employer does not offer CPR AED First Aid training they just may not know about the WAC CODE 296-800-150. For this reason we have included the regulations for you to read about here.

First Aid

In the first place Providing first aid assistance and first aid supplies can help reduce the severity of an injury, the cost of medical bills, and finally the length of time an employee is unable to work.

Q: Do I have to make sure that someone trained in first-aid trained is available? 
A: 
Yes, all employers in Washington must have either first aid trained personnel at their worksite or immediate access to a health care service.

Q: Do I have to provide first aid supplies?
A: Yes, regardless of how many employees you have, you must provide first aid supplies at your workplace.

For this reason the CPR AED First Aid course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

  • Optional modules in child CPR and AED use and infant CPR
  • Optional exam

 

Objectives:

As a matter of fact, after completing this course, students will be able to

  • First and foremost, List the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of first aid rescuers
  • As well as describe the key steps in first aid
  • Additionally be able to remove protective gloves
  • Find the problem
  • Describe when and how to help a choking adult or child and equally important an infant
  • Use an epinephrine pen
  • Control bleeding and bandaging
  • Recognize elements of common injuries and comparatively illnesses
  • Describe how to find information on preventing illness and injury
  • Recognize the legal questions that apply to first aid rescuers
  • Describe how high-quality CPR improves survival
  • Recognize when someone needs CPR
  • Perform high-quality CPR for an adult
  • Give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
  • Demonstrate how to use an AED on an adult, child and infant
  • Perform high-quality CPR for a child and equally important an infant
  • Describe when and how to help a choking adult or child, and infant
